Export layers from photoshop
***IMPORTANT : Photoshop doesn't support special characters and symbols so make you don't have any layer names containing those special characters and symbols. (Photoshop/NFT IG also doesn't support apostrophe(’) but you can put single quote(') instead)
Option 1 (Regular way)
- Name all your layers as first folder name and then underscore and then layer name. Put # and percentage of rarity out of 100. Rarity is optional (Ex. Body_Yellow#40)
- Make visible only the layers that you want to export
naming layers example
- Go to Export --> Layers to Files
- Now browse to a new directory, put file name prefix as just a one word with no spaces or underscores, put the tick mark visible layers only, file type PNG-24, put the tick mark for transparency, take off the tick mark in trim layers.
- Now press on run
- Before you select file location on NFT Image Generator turn on the option "exported from photoshop"
Option 2 (Fastest way to export)
- Go to Files -> Scripts -> Browse
Browse for script
- Go to the Extras folder and choose "utek photoshop fast exporter"
Extras folder | uTek photoshop fast exporter
- Change your output directory to a new folder (this should be an empty folder)
fast exporter
- This script will replace all the spaces with dashes(-). NFT IG doesn't support dashes so you need to replaces all dashes again with spaces. To do that copy this bat file "rename all dashes.bat" to your exported photoshop files directory.
- Now right click on it and run it as Administrator (This will replace all the dashes with spaces in your layers)
- Please delete "rename all dashes.bat" file from your layers folder (IMPORTANT)
- Open NFT IG and make sure you turn off exported from photoshop option (IMPORTANT)
- Import your layers folders
Reported Known Bugs
There are no major issues reported on this app but few issue are reported which will be fixed on the next update.
- When you mistakenly turned on the option "exported from photoshop" but it was not the folder which was exported from photoshop, there could be newly generated folder inside your layers folder called "data". When this happens it won't let you import your layers. (Please delete that data folder --> uncheck "Export from photoshop" option --> import again)
Issues will be addressed on up coming update v2.0.0.
